Course Syllabus
Course Description:
This course exposes the significance of Philippine Literature on the students' chosen field and in our everyday life. A review of its history, and its various highlight eras will feature socio-culturally rich literary works not limited to prose and poetry. Relevant contributions of Filipinos in the modern times will also be presented in this course. Most importantly, it hopes to provide a venue to appreciate Literature as a tool for self-improvement and socio-cultural awareness and responsibility.
At the end of 18 weeks (54) Hours, the students are expected to:
- Become well-oriented with the highlight history of Literature and its major developmental eras;
- Examine the relevance of various literary works in shaping our society & culture.
- Digest valuable messages and learnings of these documents as these relate to their own personal and professional development;
- Immerse themselves fully in their chosen field to become better learners and responsible practitioners;
- Effect positive change to others by contributing their commitment to personal and social responsibility.
